An Introduction to Vectors

Vector Calculus is the study of Calculus in higher dimensions. In higher dimensions, ideas such as slope at a point no longer have a well-defined meaning. For example, if you are standing on a hill, there could be a different slope in each direction you walk. We need a way to keep track of these directions in higher dimensions: this is the primary use of vectors.
This worksheet provides a basic introduction to vectors, including some of the elementary operations that can be applied to them.
